That is EUR 63. To collect the EUR 63 you tie up an extra EUR 399 per style, and you carry the remaining 264 pieces for around two years. Recovering the full EUR 399 through unit savings would take another 228 sales, roughly a year and a half at the same rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rule of thumb that falls out of this: if you cannot sell through the order within one season, the minimum is too high for you, whatever the unit price says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Low Minimum or High Minimum: Which Is Right for Your Shop?<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A low or zero minimum earns its keep while you are still guessing. New shops, unfamiliar categories, trend-led pieces with a short window, and mid-season top-ups all reward flexibility over unit price, as does opening a webshop without buying stock at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A higher minimum starts to pay once the guessing stops. When a style has a proven sell-through rate, the lower unit price compounds with every reorder. Exclusivity and private label usually come with a minimum as well, because they involve production rather than picking from a shelf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until you know how quickly a style moves in your shop, the cost of being wrong outweighs the saving on unit price. Buy small, learn, then commit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Low minimums carry their own cost structure, and you want to know it before you calculate a margin. Small quantities cost more per piece than a factory run, and most dropshipping services add a handling charge on top. What matters is whether the supplier shows you the full picture up front. Check that this is how their minimum works before you plan around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Trade quantity for unit price. <\/strong>Many suppliers will accept a smaller order at a slightly higher price per piece. That trade is usually worth taking on an unproven style, since the extra margin you give up is smaller than the cash you would tie up in stock you cannot sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Start with ready stock. <\/strong>Test a design from an existing range first, and move into custom production once it has a sell-through rate you trust. The shipping threshold tells you what makes commercial sense. Ordering at EUR 30 with a EUR 6.95 flat rate puts almost a quarter of your spend into carriage. Ask what the clock is measured from, because that detail sets your real restocking cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Establish who handles consumer returns. <\/strong>In a dropshipping arrangement you remain the contracting party toward the shopper, so your obligations to that customer stand whatever return window your supplier offers you.
